You are here: Execudent / Treatments / Restorative Dentistry / Broken Teeth

Broken Teeth

There are several cures for broken Teeth such as veneers. A veneer can make a chipped tooth look intact again. The porcelain covers the whole of the front of the tooth with a thicker section replacing the broken part.

Bonding

Dental Bonding can be used if you have chipped, cracked or broken teeth. Sometimes instead of a porcelain veneer, a natural colour ‘composite’ material is used. This process is referred to as Bonding. This process involves the direct application of tooth colour composite resin and is typically used to create a more attractive smile.

Crowns

To restore a tooth’s strength, size, and shape or to improve a tooth’s appearance, crowns are often used as a solution for broken tooth depending on its structure. There are several types of crowns that we use here at Execudent. After examining your teeth, our dentists will suggest the best suitable crown for your tooth.

Bridges

Dental bridges are recommended If you are missing one or more tooth/teeth. These dental bridges are used to replace missing teeth or a tooth. Gaps left by missing teeth often cause the other surrounding teeth to move or rotate into the empty space causing bad bites and gum diseases. The dental bridges suggested by our experts at Execudent will be cemented to the natural teeth or the dental implants surrounding the gaps.

How crowns and bridges are made

In order to make a perfect crown or a bridge, here at Execudent, we first reduce the size of the broken/decayed or the surrounding tooth/teeth. Then, an impression of the tooth/teeth is taken for an exact frame. You will have a choice of materials for your crown or bridge. Based on the location of the missing tooth/teeth, its aesthetic considerations, function and cost, our dentists at Execudent will help you decide the best suitable dental bridge or a crown. The impression of your teeth is then sent to the dental lab to create a permanent crown or bridge while a temporary one is placed over the prepared tooth.
